I don't think so. I'm aware of only one recent amendment related to the work made for hire: sound recordings were added to the types of work that may be agreed to be works made for hire under part (b) of the definition. This change was made in S.1948, sec. 1011(d) (incorporated by reference in Pub.L. 106-113 sec. 1000(a)(9)), Nov. 29, 1999).
