i forgot to point out that the last line here indicates that the 1998 copyright applies only to the new material, compilation, additions, revisions, to some unknown previous edition. it is conceivable that the material copied by ULM was in the earlier material, the new material, or both, and that might be taken into account when measuring the amount copied to see if it is more than allowed by fair use.

again, the appropriate lawyers need to
investigate this when presenting facts to the court case, and i have no personal
interest in the case nor in followup to this thread.
