argues that Mickey Mouse is already in the public domain because of Disney's failure to place a proper copyright notice including year on the first film shorts.
anybody want to take this up and challenge Disney's lawyers?
Dennis Karjala's site contains many references to the value of the public domain and how a proper copyright term would benefit not only the public but also Disney. Furthermore, Professor Karjala (and the 100 or so law professors who wrote Congress against the Bono Act) make many excellent arguments refuting claims that the Bono Act would protect U.S. jobs.
