There's an organization called LIMA -- Licensing Industry Manufacturers Assoc (I think). I'm on vacation and away from my desk but do an internet search for them. They keep a database on who owns rights to things. They also hold a Licensing Show trade show in NY where you can meet the licensors (and some licensees).
