I suspect asking this question is a sign of paranoia.
If I'm doing some advertising that shows my web site, are there any rules about whether or not I can include the browser (e.g., IE or Netscape) in the picture?
I know it's done all the time, but I'm wondering whether it's base on permission. I don't see how the three major IP branches are involved. I'm not using their idea (patent), nor their specific code (copyright), and I don't think that anyone will think we're saying we are the source of the browser (trademark).
