Well thats one technical detail I sure don't understand yet. The Anonymizer web page has showed me that its easy to find out my IP Address and my system configuration. And now word has spread that software exists to trace Napster and Gnutella user's (abusers?) IP address. But is that sufficent information to trace the individual user's identity to take action against him? Most "pirates" most likely travel from University servers -- how can they be detected?
I have read that Napster users have been kicked out of the system by Napster under pressure from content industries. But has there been any legal action against individual infringers?
Thanks for your patience with some technical details...
