Try hanging out in cafeterias and buffets. When people want the jiggling mass of flavored red goo, they ask for the strawberry Jell-O, not gelatin. I agree with you about the pudding, but your just wrong about the Jell-O...oops...gelatin.

Jell-O in relation to flavored gelatin is very close to being generic.
