A treaty that brings world copyright law into the digital age by protecting authors on the Internet will take effect March 6, the United Nations said. "This is an important day in the history of copyright, making it better equipped to meet the technological challenges of cyberspace," said Kamal Idris, director-general of the U.N.'s World Intellectual Property Organization.
