This case may be of some interest some people on the list. The Australian Federal Court has decided that, despite legislation creating a rental right in computer programs, that movie DVD's like those from the major studios are not subject to the limitation as the principal purpose of the rental is to gain access to the movie content and not the computer program. http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/cth/federal_ct/2001/1719.html
