We have started electronic reserves in our library and are wondering
how to handle a couple of situations that have
arisen. First, were does one go for permission to use material from
an anthology or other collected work? The individual writers are hard
to track, especially if over 15 years has passed, and the editors
rarely share who has the original copyright to a work in their
collection.
The second question: if the original copyright holder has died, how does one find the heirs or present copyright holder?
Thank you for your suggestions.
