On the question of publishing "works of art:"
Since unique works of art (singletons) cannot be published in the sense that "publication" is a prerequisite for the period of copyright to commence, is it possible that all such works must be treated as "unpublished" (or unpublishable) works, regardless of whether reproductions (which would receive a different treatment) had been published?
Silly question?
