a different question about the Mouse

Dear List:

I am an editor for a non-profit free newspaper distributed in New York. We have an author who has written an interview with Mickey Mouse where Mickey is portrayed as arrogant and righteous, especially in regard to his own copyright protection, etc.

My question, though I can't believe I feel like I have to ask this, is if the publication could be sued by the infamous Disney lawyers for defamation or libel?! Mickey is portrayed as a know-it-all artist who is currently using excrement in his paintings and says that he is "so damn important I can do anything I please."

It is obviously satire and fiction and it is comedic. At the end Mickey says he could crush the paper that this is being published in, etc.

Any opinions on this?

Thanks!
