Well, I certainly know where Linda is coming from. In fact, in my opinion, any descendant of mine who seeks to benefit from my copyrights will have to put in at least as much work as I did.

However, there are and have to be limits. If within fifty years of my death my children can't come up with a winning scheme for enriching themselves on my work, then they should move on and let the editors, revisers, adapters, commentators, and archaeologists have a go at it. Or make their own valuable contribution to society. Inherited poverty is a burden that can be overcome; inherited wealth is a curse that lasts for generations.
