Interesting project. I realize that it is in its infancy, but you may want to include a link to Eric's site of wonderful public domain works. I think this one works: http://209.11.144.65/eldritchpress/ This makes it a bit easier to avoid supporting copyright.

Another suggestion is to take advantage of used book stores. I go about once a year and spend less than $100 dollars to scarf up huge bag of great books!

Another fun thing to do is look for non-Disney versions of the stories Disney is famous for. Getting to the original story is not as important to me as just providing another version of the story so that they can discern what Disney has done. I'll leave the "right and wrong" discussion for later.

One last suggestion is to support local artist and artisans. Florists not using FTD designs, handmade jewelry, cheap original paintings from the local art school instead of overpriced prints from the mall, locally owned newspaper instead of conglomerate owned, locally owned radio instead of ClearChannel. This is fun and sends less cash to the copyright conglomerates.

Take care,

Keith
