So, if you say to someone, "There's nothing new under the sun", do you cite Ecclesiastes? When you use the word alligator, do you cite Shakespeare (http://www.m-w.com/lighter/shak/words5.htm#alligator)?

And, as Shakespeare himself used many ideas without attribution, do you consider him intellectually and morally dishonest, and a pathetic writer?
