I don't doubt that MANY such images are still under copyright. I don't
have any reason to asssume, however, that the VAST MAJORITY are images
that are (a) still under copyright, and (b) posted without the consent of
the owner. There are MANY that are (a) now in the public domain, or (b) if
still under copyright, posted without infringement by virtue of being
posted by their creator.
Do you have particular kinds of ngs in mind?
