No reason to perjur yourself. If all of the parties
agree that the contract is effective at an earlier
date than just say so in your agreement.
If the contract is just the written confirmation of an earlier oral contract than just say that, noting that the terms apply tothe oral contract formed on the earlier date.
Now, if the parties don't agree to the effective date they will simply testify as to the date they signed and the date they intended the contract to be effective and you are out of luck.
Maybe you should see an attorney before you create a bigger mess of your problem.
