As others noted, I think it is more linear, but with possible cross-links if an individual is both an owner and an emplyee/officer.

One's ownership interest typically has little bearing on these principles.

Yes, and the distinction is that Stock is the most basic form of ownership, indicating no other relationship. As you progress along your chain you have people with more involvement with the entity than just ownership.

This is not a matter of the percent ownership, but a matter of involvement beyond ownership.
