This question got sent to me and before I answer him, I'd like some feedback. The original book was published in 1950 by Simon and Schuster and republished in the 1990s by Donald I. Fine. Any advice for him?? Does the CCC cover these sorts of permissions??

Hi,

I do many
student films and animations, and I am planning to attend film school at NYU at the conclusion of my senior year at friends. I have had my eye on adapting The 13 Clocks by James Thurber to a short animation for some time now, but I have of yet to figure out who to contact about this. The Publisher is a very obscure one (I think), and I am unable to figure out either how to contact them, or how to navigate such websites as your own to figure out if you have any information towards contacting such publishers as Donald I. Fine, Inc (the publisher of The 13 Clocks). If you had any information regarding where I could look for such information, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much, Josh Thomas
