Re: EU directive "use in certain other cases of minor importance"

Dear colleagues,
there are a lot of traditional exemtions for analogue use in Europa which are now considered o.k. under EU law. For instance, in Germany we have exemtions for
- copies of public speeches in a newspaper (Sect. 48)

• the right to produce copies in court or by police (Sect. 45)
• the right to produce copies of works displyed on public ground (Sect. 59)
• the right to display works to the public in a TV shop (Sect. 56).
