Hi,
Thank you to everyone who has replied. The reason why I put this question forward was because when I called the magazine regarding this query of mine, they were very standoffish and censorious. They told me that they printed my piece and, like I mentioned earlier, they allow other mags to publish it if they include a note informing the readers it was first published there. When I tried to reason with them, they were more than just nonprofessional about it, saying that it seems like I am just arguing over nothing, so they said I can just go ahead and do whatever I want. I told them it was not my intention to argue, but just to clear the matter up. Then, they go like well, this is how it is done and if I do not know the rules of the media business, I should not be in it in the first place. Nineteen year old me was intimidated by their attitude, so I decided to seek the truth about this. I'm pleased to know I wasn't exactly wrong. At least, I can now be at peace knowing that. Anyway, thanks to all once more.
Sincerely,
