My understanding of the case law is that this right is inalienable -- intended to protect the estate of the author.

Are there any circumstances under which the termination right under section 203 can be waived contractually? Subsection (a)(5) states: "Termination of the grant may be effected notwithstanding any agreement to the contrary...."
