8 or 10 years ago would be about 1995. Since then we have had (in the US alone), several major statutes, including the 1998 Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA), and several major cases, including Supreme Court cases.

I do not know a source that would do precisely what you need, but your instincts are right on - much, much has happened since 1995 in the US, let alone the rest of the world.

        It has been a few years since I paid close attention to copyright matters, and a bit longer since I was attentive to how reserving materials for a class in the library was affected by copyright law.   I have a presentation to do this Friday on the topic and am not sure how currently applicable my 8 to 10 year old information is...

        Can anyone point me to some resource materials or websites that specifically address the question, or otherwise give me a few pointers please?
