Hi Janet,

Happy New Year!

I have not seen you in a few years. I would usually see you at the conferences at Fordham.

Here are a few suggestions for getting a current version of the Copyright Act.

  1. The Copyright Office has the full pdf version (June 2003) version available for free as a download. On the same page on the Copyright Office website are the texts of the amendments from 2004 - 2006. You could have them download the 2003 pdf version and the amendments and them have them mark the 2003 version for insertion of the amendments.
  2. If your students have access to WESTLAW, there is a full copy of the CURRENT Copyright Act available in Lindey on Entertainment, Publishing, and the Arts.

Go into WESTLAW

Database: LINDEY3D

Search Term: 1:116

That should bring up the whole Act, current as of August 2006.

All the best,
Michael
