You might want to point your students here for a free online source:

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sup_01_17.html

and have them (or you for them) print out each section from the web listing. The site notes that the text can be as much as a year or two old, and gives pointers on where to get updates.

Obviously, if the school has access to a commercial service like Lexis or Westlaw, you can get the latest texts, and if you're careful to get only the texts and not extraneous editorial material, you can freely copy them, as works of the Federal government are not subject to copyright.
