I've been wondering about clip-art and slides which are marketed to
educational organizations. These materials come with notices that they
may be incorporated into presentations by faculty and administrators.
What happens when we take that one step farther and incorporate them into multi-media programs which may be marketed to other colleges? Who owns the copyright? If I create a program and fix slides and clip art into that program, can I copyright that material? Must I get permission from the owner of the clip art? Must I give credit to the source of the clip art or slides?
I'd appreciate some discussion on this.
