Bob Oakley's copyright statement attached to his Internet postings is an excellent answer to present and future questions concerning the use of various documents found on the net. It clears the air. Now I can link as many of his pronouncements as I wish for Washburn's Virtual Reference Desk without wondering "Can I do this?" Those of us who gopher in and out of the net taking what we please to satisfy our thirst for getting "all" the information appreciate such an outright flagrant statement of copying permission.
Remember, not all of us know the Copyright Law inside out. The electronic information explosion makes database construction so easy. I don't want to be the "test case" in the formulation of amendments to the current law. I wish all documents entered on the Internet carried the author's name and blessing.
