Good questions.

I am under the impression that any material I submit to the Internet or any net is copyright by myself barring any other agreements to the contrary.

Am I missing something?

I can forsee how discussion threads could be retrieved and used to compose a written work. Is the complilation of works considered another work? I have been used in published works in the past, and I know the author obtained written release from me to have my photographs used in his work. Does submissions to the nets (generic...BBS, major services, public nets, Internet et al) have the same criteria?

Thanks for considering this....

Emerging technology brings emerging legal issues, eh?
