In response to your PS my answer is no. Too many people send messages without any SIG file and on some mail systems the headers are removed and you can't respond to the person. Also, a sig file with address, phone, fax, etc facilitates contacting them privately, when appropriate, and avoids using the list in such situations. But of course this is only my opinion and anyone with a contrary opinin should certainly express it.
