   Can I state the question again, because depending on the answer,    there may be an important point here. As I understand it, the case    did not hinge on Texaco researchers making copies of articles for    their own use. I seem to recall reading that Texaco staff made    copies of the articles for use by Texaco researchers at sites other    than the ones which had purchased the journals. It sounded somewhat    like a selective dissemination of information service.
