Actually, when I left Amdahl in January, I temporarily lost most access to the Internet, and was unable to participate much until June. Amdahl no longer has a copy of the FAQ.
I resumed Internet access in June, but that was immediately prior to the bar exam, after which I started work, and, and, and, well, you know how it goes -- here it is in November, and I still haven't updated the FAQ since January 1994 (V 1.1.3). I do intend to resume maintaining it and posting it RSN (probably just in time for GATT to make parts of it out-of-date). In the meantime, here's a pointer to the current release (I also sent an email directly to the person who asked):
The Copyright FAQ is available for anonymous FTP from either of the following two sites:
ftp site: ftp.netcom.com
directory: /pub/carrollt/law/copyright/faq
files: part1-part6
ftp site: rtfm.mit.edu
directory: /pub/usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ
files: part1-part6
If you do not have direct access by FTP, the mit.edu site supports ftp by mail. Send a message to mail-server[_at_]rtfm.mit.edu with the following lines in it:
send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part1 send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part2 send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part3 send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part4 send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part5 send usenet/news.answers/law/Copyright-FAQ/part6quit
