This is probably of interest primarily to those within shouting distance of my voice:

On January 19th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., PST, Michael Kirk, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Deputy Commissioner of Patents and Trademarks will conduct a seminar on "The Effects of GATT and NAFTA on the Patent Process" in the Library Program Room, Sunnyvale Public Library, 665 West Olive Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA. Cost is $20.00

The seminar is sponsored by the PTO, SCI**3 (SCI cubed), the World Intellectual Property and Trade Forum (WIPTF), and the PENINSULA Intellectual Property Law Association (PIPLA).

Come on out and enjoy the weather .....

Per Dr. Berryhill, attendees need NOT be subscribers in good standing of either misc.int-property or cni-copyright.

P.S. for the locals, the Sunnyvale patent library will be closed December 23 through January 7, and will reopen on January 9th in its new SCI**3 location.
