Re: Apple v. SF Canyon

An earlier complaint by Apple against a third-party developer, San Francisco Canyon, was amended to include Intel and Microsoft as joint defendants. According to Apple; Intel, Microsoft and SF Canyon have misappropriated QuickTime code to boost development of Microsoft Video for Windows development.

In April 1992, Apple contracted with Canyon to port QuickTime over to Windows. According to Apple, Canyon contracted with Intel in July 1993 to deliver software accelarating Video for Windows video image processing and that the software delivered by Canyon contained significant portions of QuickTime code. Intel then contributed code from that software to Microsoft for a joint program called Display Control Interface (DCI)

I'm trying to locate the complaint in this matter. The dates of the original complaint and amendments thereto are as noted above. The complaint was filed in the U.S District Court in San Jose.

Any further information would be appreciated. TIA
