I know many of you are into domaine name matters, and since I posted the pre-announcment of InterNIC's new domaine name policy, I received a number of requests from individual law-firm entities about registration or registering their domaine name for them, to which I indicated this was something ideally and best done by one's own Net Access provider with InterNIC as opposed to any individual party directly with InterNIC.
Anyway, I've put up a rather funny, yet informative update on domaine names on the Hot News of the Week section of the WWW Multimedia Law Site (in sig. below) today, so go take a look. Betcha the better names'll run out sooner or later like they do with vanity license plates.
We probably all realize by now that the issue of domaine names poses a rash of court cases in the near future. At least, I'm pleased that InterNIC has slowed down the flurry of name registrations a week by about 25% via their new policy.
**Do take a look at the Announcements Section too, for I've been given the priviledge of announcing New Media/New Challenges, a one day conference covering successful business models for the new media industry, on behalf of The Walt Disney Company, KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, and Hill, Wynne, Troop & Meisinger.**
