I hesitate even to say this, for fear of spreading destructive ideas, but there is a form of flaming that resembles pinpoint spamming. Sometimes an individual is punished by net-vigilantes by having his or her mailbox stuffed to overflowing with unwanted messages. This should NEVER BE DONE, not only because it is boorish but also because it can harm other users who share the same net resources. But it is a form of flaming that does resemble spamming in that it involves lots and lots of unwanted messages.
