I am not aware of the duration being extended.
Generally, Copyright, Designs, Patent Act of 1988, s12(1) specifies 50 yrs + life literary, dramatic, musical works, with certain exceptions:
CDPA s15: Copyright in typographical arrangement of editions is for 25 yrs. from when edition first published.
Computer generated works: 50 years from the date made. CDPA s12(3), 178.
Photos: same as general rule, except if made during term of previous law, CDPA 0f 1956, then: 50 years from publication.
