Greetings --
I have been asked by the IMPRIMATUR project (description follows) to compile details of all conferences before April 1997 relating to:
I failed to compile that as a single Boolean search term, but you see the area: copyright AND micro-billing yes please, electronic publication AND neat design sorry, we'll call you.
Details of academic, standards, public sector & trade association conferences, anywhere in the world, are all required.
I have of course searched Lycos, AltaVista, www.calendar.com and so on, but feel the results are incomplete.
If you know of a conference which is relevant and is not on www.calendar.com, please email me as
mch[_at_]cix.compulink.co.uk
with:
I am subscribed to the lists to which I have sent this, but please do NOT reply only to the list: I'm expecting 3MB a day from the lists and need to filter this before I read it.
Please forgive me if you receive multiple copies of this message from multiple lists.
IMPRIMATUR aims to devise and recommend processes to protect and trade all types of intellectual property so that rights are respected while the needs of users are met.
The project notes that this is a delicate balancing act, implying a need to reconcile many potentially conflicting interests. It is a process that is already under way in many parts of the world. IMPRIMATUR will thus be one of a number of routes to the same objective. However, because the project operates across a very broad spectrum, it effectively provides a forum for interests which have never previously been required to communicate with each other or understand each others' needs.
IMPRIMATUR was launched by The European Commission Directorate- III under its ESPRIT programme. It "is driven by an ambitious, international consortium of companies and organisations involved in Intellectual Property Trading in the new multimedia environment."
Further information is available from http://www.imprimatur.alcs.co.uk/ I will encourage the project to post the conference list on this site, but as an independent consultant can make no promises.
Thank you for your time; I look forward to hearing from you
