The latest issue of the ABA's Entertainment & Sports Lawyer has as its Winter 1996 cover story an article titled "The Dig. Perf. Right in Sound Recordings Act of 1995" by a student named Les Watkins from the University of Georgia Law School. It is a pretty thorough, footnoted review of the legislation.

The Entertainment Law Forum has both an area on the ABA web site and its own (http://www.batnet.com/aba-eandsl/e&sl.html) but neither seem to have full text of the articles unfortunately. I suppose calling the ABA for a copy would be the best way to get a hold of it: 312-988-5660

(The same issue contains an article by yours truly titled "Challenges of the On-line Age for the Music Business". It's a thought piece about the the implications of networked computing technology for the recording industry, music publishers, retail, etc. If anyone is interested in this article I suppose I could email copies by request until the ABA catches up with technology and launches a full service web site.)

Regards.
