Intel responded rather quickly with a "cease and desist" when parodies of its sticker appeared on the Internet that read: Big Brother Inside. This was a protest of the Clipper Chip, which Intel also opposed. In this case, they weren't acting litigious, they just didn't want their image associated with Clipper.
When my local public library wanted to create a poster that read: "Internet Inside" in imitation of the Intel sticker, they sent a letter to Intel announcing their intentions, and never heard back - i.e. Intel didn't mind the positive publicity.
I imagine that they would respond quickly, though, to other companies imitating their famous design.
