I and others at my law firm have represented a number of clients being audited by SPA, BSA or others. At the very beginning, the best thing you can do is to approach matters calmly and try to find out exactly what is happening. As part of this, I also would recommend that you seek out counsel to help you in the process and to help interact with SPA, if necessary, so that the matter can be resolved to the mutual satisfaction of all concerned.
