speaker suggestions

I would like to ask a favor of cni listserv subscribers. As chair of a professional society of information specialists, I am currently seeking an individual to speak on copyright issues at the associations's next meeting. Specifically, we would like someone to address such recent developments as the IITF White Paper and the Conference on Fair Use, who might also be an advocate for, or at least articulate the arguments for, Fair Use in the developing intellectual property rights environment. The speaker need not necessarily be a lawyer or law student. We would also prefer someone from the Southern California area.

As this last qualification has been our undoing so far, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might make. Please contact me directly.
