Apart from copyright, which only applies if the lectures were delivered from written notes (otherwise the lecture is not a literary work), I believe there are English cases prohibiting students from publishing lectures for profit. I recall in which medical students were prohibited from selling transcripts of lectures for profit, although I can't find a cite.
