It turns out there were three syntax errors in the subscribers list for CNI-COPYRIGHT. Apparently, none of them were bad enough to prevent delivery of e-mail to recipients, but they did interfere with making changes to one's personal mail settings (personal password, mail delivery option, etc.)
If you issued a command within the last several days to the LISTPROC[_at_]CNI.ORG you may want to remail it.
