Replication of research is an old tradition in the sciences. I would like to have my students replicate some classic research for a class project. Since the class is a course in using computers in the social sciences, I thought it might be interesting to replicate the experiments using the WWW.
When I have done research before, I felt no need to go through long negotiations to use a questionaire or a stimulus. Since the final paper would reference the original creator, I saw ownership issues as accounted for in the process.
What if I want to put that questionnaire on a web page? What do I need to do to assure that I am doing this fairly?
