I recall FOX network lawyers going after the creator of a Simpson's homepage. I can't remember much about the actions (i.e injunction, cease-and-desist letter etc) other than the rather catchy title of the article "FOX has a cow over Simpsons bulletin board" ... something like that.
I also seem to recall a dispute over various X-Files WWW sites.
