Permission to post to a website?

I am about to embark on a project at Cornell where I want to get permission to post journal articles and chapters from books on a website that will be used to teach students in the Engineering School at Cornell University.

  1. Who should I talk to at the publishing house?
  2. What they might charge for doing this?
  3. What are my chances at getting permission easily?
  4. What about if the students in that class had to enter a password to get the material? Would this be any cheaper/easier?
