Everyone happy with the current policy?

In case anyone's interested this was posted by me to see if we can get any discussion from InterNIC about this. Of course they probably don't monitor the listserve.

        The post follows:

-----------------\/--------------------

Excuse me for interrupting the silence but I've been subscribing to this list for about half a month now and haven't seen any postings. Is it slow or am I the only one out here?

I'm involved in several other listserve groups and one in particular is currently entertaining a thread regarding domain policies. I've asked permission from the other posters to allow me to forward to this group to get feedback. If there are no objections to my request I will forward email to this group for discussion.

Thank you, that is all.

I work for many people but speak only for myself. -
I'm currently looking into random string generators to try to ensure that the domain name I pick will not later be taken by someone with a trademark. -
I thought the InterNIC adopted a "first come, first serve" policy? It is quite apparent that this is not indeed the case.

Looking for feedback.

Received this. Thought some of you might want to take a look.

I'm subscribed to the DOMAIN-POLICY listserve but have seen no postings. Is anyone else "here" on that same list? If so, am I doing something wrong or does noone have anything to say?

I'm rather lost.
The help files show what address to send email to for automated commands but doesn't actually mention where to send "posts".

Am I just stupid or what?
I have no problem with any other lists I'm on (being about four other lists). Thanks for finding me if you can. I'm lonely. <sigh>
