To the Copyright Community: I hope that many of you will be able to attend the program described below, which will be held on February 16 in NYC. I am pleased to announce that we are organizing the second such Town Meeting to be held in Indianapolis on Friday, April 4, 1997. That meeting will be an opportunity to examine the issues surrounding visual images as well as the questions of fair use under other circumstances addressed in the Confu report. I will forward a more complete announcement to this list soon, but if you would like to be sure to receive registration information, please send a request to me at "copyinfo[_at_]indiana.edu."
We will have a modest registration fee to cover lunch, refreshments, and materials. Seating is strictly limited, so you will want to be on the registration list soon. Although the formal program will be held on April 4, I will conduct a general discussion and overview of copyright and fair use in the late afternoon on April 3. Please let me know if you might be interested in attending that session as well.
Watch for more details soon!
