The Telecommunications Policy Research Conference (TPRC) is an annual forum for dialogue among scholars engaged in publishable research on policy-relevant telecommunications issues, and public and private sector decision makers engaged in making telecommunications policy. The purpose of the conference is to acquaint policy makers with the best of recent research in telecommunications, and to familiarize researchers with the knowledge needs of policy makers.
TPRC is now soliciting research papers or complete session proposals for presentation at its 1997 conference. Papers should be based on current theoretical and/or empirical research relevant to the making of telecommunications policy, and may be from any disciplinary perspective. In addition, because this year marks the 25th anniversary of the TPRC, we invite papers that place telecommunications policy in historical perspective, or that identify future trends and issues.
