On Friday - Sunday, March 14-16, in San Jose, California, the Computer Law Association and Santa Clara U. Law School will present an intensive CyberSpaceCamp tutorial program directed to novices in the Computer Law area. The program is designed to "jump-start" members of corporate law departments, law firm associates, and government attorneys with responsibility for information technology matters, but with little experience in the area. The emphasis is on practical, hands-on training, so as to shorten the learning curve.
The program will include presentations on numerous topics, beginning with computer system basics, continuing through various types of intellectual property protection, and moving into diverse aspects of computer contracting (including mock negotiations), insurance coverage, electronic commerce, privacy, computer abuse, antitrust issues, data protection, tax issues, and more. For information, visit the CLA website at http://cla.org (no "www"), or phone Computer Law Association at 703/560-7747; fax 703/207-7028; e-mail clanet[_at_]aol.com.
